Horytsvit

Horytsvit is a creative camp for teenagers who have faced the challenges of war. Using a trauma-informed approach, we create a safe environment where teenagers can restore their strength and vitality.

We rely on creativity as a powerful force for psychological integration – so we run workshops in theatre and performance, painting and collage, music and singing, as well as crafts of all kinds, animation, literature and more. At every camp, participants are offered a wide creative toolkit for self-discovery.

Horytsvit is the experience of being seen and heard among others. The social side of the programme matters enormously, because we work with a young generation growing up amid prolonged, large-scale danger. We talk a lot, reflect, play, look after each other, laugh and explore! In this way we restore a sense of belonging and connection, which the teenagers take home to their families and communities. Every camp takes place in Zakarpattia. Surrounded by the age-old stillness of the mountains, clear air and perfect silence, we ourselves begin to feel something steady and unshakeable within.
