Horytsvit 15

Can you live a whole lifetime in two weeks?

Not in the sense of fitting everything in, but in the sense of feeling real presence. Because it is through attentive, steady presence that trust begins to form – the foundation for gradual recovery after traumatic experiences.

Our 15th Horytsvit was just like that. Alive. Whole. A place where recovery became possible.

Trauma often isolates. It makes you fall silent, tense up inside, shut down. But a space with acceptance, attention and a gentle rhythm of togetherness can become the first step towards trust.

In yourself.

In others.

In the world.

Recovery begins not with trying to change yourself but with the experience of a relationship – when someone attentive and steady is by your side. That kind of presence makes room for change.

When someone next to you is washing apples – and listening.

When someone hands you tea – and stays in the silence.

When you can be quiet – and not be alone.

At Horytsvit we don’t do therapy or set out to educate. We create conditions in which safe connection is possible.

And then emotions are not a problem but a way to explore yourself.

And then you don’t have to hold back anger – you can express it through movement, dancing, releasing the tension.

And then you don’t have to hide tears, vulnerability or worry, because someone is there who is ready to stay, listen and simply be with you.

And every feeling can be talked through over a cup of tea instead of kept inside.

Because recovery is having someone to be with you when it hurts. When it’s all right not to know what to say. When it’s enough simply to ask, “How are you?” – and really listen.

We weren’t looking for the perfect format. We created a space where all of this could happen.
